When the subcontractor comes first
What are the advantages of subcontract machining? And when is it essential to use a subcontractor?
With the advent of the crisis, many companies have questioned the price/quality ratio of their products. In some cases they have tried to reduce costs at the expense of finished product quality, while in others they have chosen to maintain the same quality by raising prices to cope with the obvious economic difficulties. Often the best solution, however, is to rely on a subcontractor for machining.
This decision has several advantages:
First, the subcontractor provides its own facility and specialized personnel, while the client company does not have to incur any investment in this regard; second, the subcontractor is able to offer a customized and flexible service, adapting to the client company's specific needs; and finally, the relationship with the subcontractor can be easily terminated at any time if necessary (it is so, we say to our detriment, but it is among the variables that are considered when choosing to outsource a service).
Faucets, for example, is an area where machining is an important business opportunity. The advantages of having components manufactured by outside companies are obvious: it is a service that allows companies to focus on their core business, obtaining finished products that meet the required specifications, with significantly less time and cost than in-house manufacturing.
Moreover, by relying on professionals in the field, companies can benefit from the experience and specific expertise needed to manufacture complex components, thus ensuring the quality of the final product.
Agreed? Here we have cited you as an example the faucet sector, although we are open to any new challenge, and to date we also work with the heating/conditioning, hydraulics, wheels and handling, oil&gas and automotive sectors.
